Background
Well House Consultants who run this site have been running IT courses and receiving business visitors into Melksham since September 2000 - in those early days to our training centre in The Spa. And in those early days, there was a wide range of local accommodation available. However, guests requirements rose over the years (requirements for en suite, internet access, credit card payment, on line booking, parking ... became mandatory) and many of the previous providers retired, leaving us with something of a shortage of appropriate local accommodation. So - in 2006 - we opened Well House Manor to provide the accomodation that our delegate were asking for.
At Well House Manor, we provide first and foremost for the business visitor - but that does prove to be an ideal combination for couples visiting the area to tour, or to visit friends and family, and perhaps to attend special events in the town.
• All rooms are double or twin (but happily let as singles)
• All rooms en suite, and spacious.
• Large screen TVs in all rooms, with 50+ channels
• Wired and wireless internet included - currently 50 Mbit / second. Printer / copier also available.
• "Bean to cup" coffee, tea, water, and cold soft drinks available all day, every day.
• Minifridges, laptop safes, bottle openers, iron and ironing board, hospitality tray, etc in all rooms.
• Plenty of parking - or if you're arriving in Melksham by train or coach, let us know and we'll pick you up.
Our prices include all of the above, plus a superior continental breakfast for each guest.
Even though we're now providing accommodation ourselves, we're maintaining a list of other accommodation within the town. Sometimes we're full and we'll refer people elsewhere (particularly to Antonia House and The Conigre), and our quiet business environment doesn't suit everyone. So if you're looking to bring young children, require a licensed bar and restaurant on site, or are just looking for a cheap room for the night, you may be better suited to one of the other options listed.
We are no longer maintaining lists of "out of town" hotels, guest houses and B & Bs; all of the options listed at the top of this page are within easy walking distance of Well House Manor, and of Melksham Town Centre. We want our town list to be complete - if you're within the built up area of Melksham and offer overnight accommodation, but don't appear on the list above - please let me know - graham@wellho.net.
